- UV resistance
Inconel 718 is a high-strength nickel-chromium alloy designed for extreme temperature conditions (both high and low). In 3D printing (SLM/DMLS), it makes it possible to obtain parts with excellent thermal and mechanical stability, making it widely used in the aerospace, energy or oil and gas industries. The use of additive technology in manufacturing with Inconel 718 makes it possible to create complex geometries that are impossible or difficult to achieve with traditional machining methods.
Key features of Inconel 718:
-
Heat resistance – maintains strength and stability even at very high operating temperatures.
-
High mechanical strength – it is extremely durable, allowing use in the most demanding industrial applications.
-
Corrosion and oxidation resistance – works well in chemically aggressive environments where there is exposure to corrosion and oxidation.
-
Dimensional stability – allows precise reproduction of complex shapes, without losing dimensional accuracy during operation.
-
Good mechanical properties over a wide temperature range – it does not lose its strength parameters either at low or extremely high temperatures.
-
Applications in many industries – aviation, aerospace, power generation (e.g., turbines), the oil and gas industry and the manufacture of components operating in corrosive or highly stressed environments.
