Stratasys P3 Silicone 25A is a “real” silicone type material, developed in cooperation with Shin-Etsu and dedicated to the Origin platform / P3 DLP technology from Stratasys.
Key features
Shore A hardness of 25 – an ideal balance between flexibility and resistance to deformation.
Elongation at break up to ~ 672% – very high ductility allowing significant deformation.
Tensile strength ~ 5.4 MPa and Young’s modulus ~ 1.45 MPa
Tear resistance ~ 16 kN/m
Mechanical stability over time and at elevated temperatures – the material maintains properties even after 1,000 h of aging at 150 °C; the elasticity of change is small.
Certifications: UL-94 V-0 (fire resistance) and cytotoxicity tests (ISO 10993-5)
One-component UV resin – no mixing required, which simplifies the printing process.
Low polymerization shrinkage (< 1%) and high surface quality even for fine details.
Density after curing: 1.3 g/cm³
Water absorption (24 h): ~ 1,5 %
Applications
P3 Silicone 25A works well wherever flexible parts with properties similar to injection-molded silicone are needed:
seals, gaskets, sealing elements
shock absorbers, vibration damping covers
Soft components in consumer devices, vests, wearables
Medical components (e.g., flexible parts)
Industrial applications requiring chemical resistance and thermal stability
